This journal exists to review films, books, articles, TV programmes and anything else which crosses my field of view. It does not, however, deal with amateur productions. Anything reviewed here is something which has been released into the wild by its producers expecting the general public, by one means or another, to part with its hard-earned cash for the privilege of experiencing it. This journal intends to be frank (though not, except in justified cases (of which I consider the film of Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy to be a classic example) brutal) about such productions, on the basis that seven quid saved is seven quid earned, and if someone had told me before I bought it what Joseph O'Connor's Star of The Sea was like, I'd be a bottle of supermarket Rioja and some overpriced dental repairs to the good.

Why "crepe_suzettes" (apart from the fact that the more grammatical variants had already been taken)? Well, my English teacher once pointed out that one felt one had got more value from a restaurant meal which had featured someone throwing brandy on at least one course of it and setting it on fire. That experience is what I hope to replicate in these reviews.
